Green in the mountains
45 hectares, nestling between Catinaccio and Latemar. The 9-hole golf course Carezza borders directly on the Hotel Alpenrose. There is so much to love about it: At 1,680 metres, Carezza is the highest golf course in South Tyrol. And also the oldest one, although it was re-designed over the years. With the stunning mountains surrounding it, it can be said to be the most beautiful golf course. It’s not surprising that Winston Churchill, Empress Sissi and other VIPs of the European aristocracy swung their clubs here. The golf course Carezza is also known as the Mountain Beast. It can truly be a little beastly, because it is a highly challenging course: Players should have a sophisticated golf technique, as well as comfortable shoes. A round of golf means covering around 400 m altitude differential. But they’re worth it!
Come and copy Sissi and Churchill: Only three steps from the hotel and you are right in the green. Why not enjoy the occasional round of golf! From May to October many golf tournaments provide entertainment.
