In King Laurino’s kingdom

We’ve always known it. In 2009, UNESCO confirmed it: The Dolomites number among the most beautiful mountains in the world and were awarded UNESCO world heritage status. In the heart of Val d’Ega, in altitudes ranging from 800 to 2,900 metres, is the former kingdom of Laurino, king of the dwarfs. And the Sporthotel Alpenrose! Only twenty minutes from the South Tyrolean capital Bolzano and surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Catinaccio and Latemar mountain ranges. Truly beautiful! It’s not surprising that there are many mystical places here which have not lost any of their magic. Places like Lago di Carezza near Nova Levante with its deep green waters, surrounded by Dolomite rock.

In Val d’Ega every season has its special appeal. Countless hiking trails lead through the unique mountain landscape with its rugged precipes and gently rolling Alpine meadows. Hiking, mountain climbing, climbing, mountain biking, golfing: there is almost nothing you cannot do here. In winter, a thick layer of snow covers the landscape. The family-friendly skiing region Carezza invites to skiing fun in the sunshine directly next to our hotel. Far from the pistes snowshoe hikers, ski tourers, cross country skiers and tobogganers experience winter close-up.
